Hello,

It’s been weeks since I wrote on the blog because I was working on some important stuff and totally exploring the city on weekends. Here’s what all the exciting adventures have led me to!

The Plan Unfolds

My friends and I, on the trail of searching something creative to do on the weekend of Jan 13th, stumbled upon the RIVER FESTIVAL held on the banks of River Phalguni in Mangalore. Thus began our thrilling journey!

We set off from Sultan Battery, which was the starting point for the ferry. The ferry took us on a calming trip. Just as we boarded into the ferry, it was a sight to behold!! INNUMERABLE JELLYFISH! For a person who had hardly seen jellyfish, it was indeed wonderful. The colours of blue and green seemed to have made a pact. The winds keenly gossiped with the trees on the banks.

The lights did guide us Home, to nature

I would very much want to listen to their conversations!

Which boat do you want?

When we reached our destination, it was noon. The fiery sun made us cram under a single umbrella(since none of us remembered to carry extra!). There were stalls all around. Some selling beautiful post and baskets, while others selling equally mouth-watering dishes. There was a stunning exhibition of paintings. Each one of those painting seemed to tell a story of its own.

Wonder what creativity looks like?
A battle of the colours
And yet again I remembered, the days of our history

There were also adventure sports like the water scooter, paddling and jet ski. We went in for a speed boat and those were five fun and thrilling minutes. While we sat and savoured different Indian delicacies, we also reconnected with nature. We took many photographs to cherish these moments after they are long gone. We enjoyed the music concert performed by local artists and returned with good memories. We even visited the fort of Sultan Battery on the trip back home.

Don’t you want to play?

Which place you visited recently excited you? Let me know in the comments below!!

Love,
